Hubberholme in Upper Wharfedale

Hubberholme in Upper Wharfedale

Hubberholme is an old village in Upper Wharfedale with a delightful little church.  Again a name with Norse connections.

The mid to late 19th-century gritstone bridge spans the River Wharfe next to the quaint George Inn.

Walk from here up to Moor End Fell, Birks Fell or Horse Head Moor.  Take The Dales Way, which runs alongside the River Wharfe, through the village up into Langstrothdale, the most peaceful place on earth.
